### How to use RIGOL arbitrary function generator to generate arbitrary waveform

I bought a RIGOL function generator, but I don't know how to make it generate a custom irregular periodic signal. Here's how to generate it:

### 1. Download and install Ultra Station and Ultra Sigma

After the installation is completed, the figure is shown as below:

### 2. Open Ultra Station and enter the waveform generation page

Select the connection port of the function generator according to the actual situation; if the function generator is not connected, select offline. As shown below.

### 3. Create a new wave file and configure it

Click New to create a new waveform file

After that, configure the parameters as required. First, choose your own device model. Next is the number of points included in each cycle. Setting 8192 means that the length of each cycle is

$\frac{8192 points}{(1000points/s)}=8.192s$

Then select the amplitude, that is, the maximum and minimum voltage values of the signal you want to generate

### 4. Draw / write function files

Next we can write the function file. If the function you want to generate can be easily expressed by an expression, you can generate it through the formula editor, as shown in the figure below.

Enter the formula and click compile and ok to get the waveform:

In addition, you can also use the interactive pen to directly generate functions:

### 5. Save the waveform file

File-> Save File-> The format is raf

### 6. Load file to function generator

Copy the generated function file to the USB flash drive, and then insert the USB flash drive into the function generator; click a file-like icon on the function generator, click the arbitrary waveform file, and load the file just generated.
